P4K is a philanthropic event and an eight hour dance marathon which supports and raises money for Pace University’s local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital and Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network. Participants dance with patients and their families to raise funds to benefit children suffering from pediatric illness.
Students will remain on their feet for eight hours to symbolize the hardships that patients and families go through, and show they do not stand alone in their fight. Student organizations and dance groups will also provide live entertainment, while families will have time to talk about how life was for their children and how the hospital has helped them.
Over the past four years, P4K has raised over $80,000 for Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. This year's goal is $30,000, which goes directly towards research, treatments, and facilities at the hospital.
Dancers will remain on their feet from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Kessel Student Center in Pleasantville.
