What To Do This Weekend in Bronxville

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - From a Salomé Chamber Orchestra performance at Sarah Lawrence College to a harvest fest in Tuckahoe, here are some of the things happening in and around Bronxville this weekend.

Friday, Sept. 28

Certificate in Health Care Mediation: 9 a.m. Sarah Lawrence College will offer a four-day certificate program in mediation in health care in collaboration with the college’s graduate health advocacy program and the Westchester Mediation Center. The full price of tuition is $1,275 ($975 for alumni and students of Sarah Lawrence College's health advocacy program. The college is at 1 Mead Way, Bronxville. 

Journey of Faith Exhibition: Noon. Art that has been inspired by religion will be on display. OSilas Gallery at Concordia College, 171 White Plains Road, Bronxville. 

Saturday, Sept. 29

Tuckahoe Farmers' Market: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Tuckahoe Farmers' Market once again returns to the parking lot at the Metro-North Station across from the Generoso Pope Foundation. 1 Depot Square.

Tarrytown Farmers' Market: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Shop for fresh produce and check out the live music and crafts. Patriot's Park 121 N. Broadway, Tarrytown.

The Best and the Wurst: Noon. Five local craft breweries will be offering beer, along with unlimited bratwurst and pretzels. Participation is $30, with all of the proceeds going to Yorktown Rotary's Wheelchair Project. Croton Point Park, Gateway Plaza and Croton Point Avenue, Croton-on-Hudson.

Harvest Fest: 1 p.m. The fest will have a menu including pumpkin soup, gumbo and pumpkin pie. There also will be a performance by Marty Osterer’s MTJ Band, in addition to raffles and games, including bobbing for apples. Growlers Beer Bistro, 25 Main St., Tuckahoe.

Microsoft Store Opening Featuring Lenny Kravitz Performance: 7 p.m. The Microsoft retail store scheduled to open in The Westchester will host musician Lenny Kravitz. Tickets to see Kravitz will be given out when the store opens at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the performance is set to start at 7 p.m. White Plains High School, 550 North St., White Plains.

The Takács String Quartet to Open Friends of Music Concerts 59th Season: 8 p.m. The Takács String Quartet will open its 59th season with a performance of works by Franz Schubert, Benjamin Britten and Antonín Dvo?ák. Tickets are $30. Sleepy Hollow High School, 210 N. Broadway, Sleepy Hollow. 

Sunday, Sept. 30

Yard Sale and Flea Market: 10 a.m. There will be more than 40 vendors selling various items, including food, jewelry and plants. Lake Isle Country Club, 660 White Plains Road, Eastchester.

Dharma Sharing: Four Noble Truths and Guided Meditation Practice: 2:30 p.m. Dharma Drum Mountain Chan Meditation Center will offer free classes on Dharma Sharing of the Four Noble Truths and Guided Meditation Practice. 77 Tarrytown Road, White Plains.

Salomé Chamber Orchestra: 3 p.m. The orchestra will perform the Mozart Sinfonia Concertante arranged for String Sextet and Tchaikovsky's Souvenir de Florence. Sarah Lawrence College's Reisinger Concert Hall, 1 Mead Way, Bronxville.
