BRONXVILLE N.Y. - Come out on Oct. 24 to support an organization that has provided care to patients facing life-threatening illnesses for the past 25 years, while enjoying fine wine and sampling food from some of Westchester's finest chefs.
The Fund Board of Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care is holding its annual fund-raiser, Better Than Cooking Dinner, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The event is at the Bronxville Field Club, 40 Locust Lane.
The event helps provide funds so patients can receive the best care possible, said Elizabeth Gebbia, outreach and marketing specialist for Lawrence Community Health Services.
"This is an annual event that brings together members of Bronxville community and surrounding communities to support a really good cause," said Gebbia. "We serve around 500 patients annually, and this is a great way for us to create awareness and educate residents about what we do. It's a time to really celebrate those who give their time and caring, and who really make a difference in doing so."
