The lecture will be at 11:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 24, at the library, 201 Pondfield Road.
Inspired by the fact that Anne Hutchinson-Bronxville Chapter DAR Member Virginia Kathryn Hefti is a direct descendant of Henry Fowler -- the progenitor of this historic American family -- the chapter has invited Eastchester Town Historian Richard Forliano, to give a talk on Hefti's ancestors as a means of exploring the broader history of the town's founding 350 years ago. Hefti will be introduced along with other descendants at the lecture. In addition to signing the Eastchester Covenant in 1665, Fowler -- a prosperous English settler -- helped to inform the town's political and social evolution in myriad ways. The lecture is free and open to the public.
