Costanzi has an international reputation as concert performer, recording artist, actor, teacher, writer, composer and public speaker. Formerly principal harp of the Vancouver Symphony and CBC Radio Orchestra, she now devotes her life to solo and chamber music performances and teaching. As a concerto soloist with orchestras across Canada and invitations from international festivals, she is recognized as an artist of rare depth and expression.
Costanzi’s teaching career includes master classes at major conservatories in conjunction with her solo appearances in North and South America as well as at New York University, where she taught for three years as adjunct professor of harp. Since relocating to New York City, she has been collaborating with director Arthur Masella on an award-winning one-woman show, which debuted at the United Solo Theatre Festival in 2011.
Costanzi's performance at the Bronxville Public Library will include a collection of classical and Celtic harp solos interwoven with poetry and verse, including "The Last Rose of Summer" and "The Minstrel's Adieu to his Native Land" by Thomas Moore.
