Bronxville Historical Conservancy Plans 'The Witches: Salem 1692" Author

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The Bronxville Historical Conservancy will hold a lecture, "The Salem Witch Trials: What Really Happened and Why It Matters in 21st Century America" with author Stacy Schiff, author of "The Witches: Salem 1692."

The lecture is set for Friday, April 15 at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville.

Schiff is the author of "Véra" (Mrs. Vladimir Nabokov), winner of the Pulitzer Prize; "Saint- Exupéry," a Pulitzer Prize finalist; and "A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France, and the Birth of America," winner of the George Washington Book Prize, the Ambassador Award in American Studies, and the Gilbert Chinard Prize of the Institut Français d’Amérique.

The program is free and will include a reception with Schiff.

The lecture will be at 8 p.m. in the Reisinger Auditorium at the college, 1 Mead Way, Bronxville.
