As a result of storms bringing heavy downpours, a build-up of branches and other flotsam began appearing underneath the Metro-North bridge in Bronxville near Parkway Road which soon became noticed by residents.

According to County Legislator James Nolan, several residents then reached out to him with concerns that the blockage could result in flooding in the area. Nolan then reached out to the county's Parks Department, which sent staff to remove the debris on Tuesday, July 18.

Nolan said the Parks Department staff likely prevented more flooding from occurring in the area.

"Our parks department does a great job whenever they are needed," Nolan said, adding, "I truly appreciate our teamwork to do what is needed for the community!"
