Covid-19: New York School Superintendents Call On Cuomo To Call Off Fall Sports The future of the fall high school sports season is back up in the air due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While Gov. Andrew Cuomo has given the green light for “low-risk” sports to get back in the action as of Monday, Sept. 21, the New York State Council of Superintendents is asking him to reconsider a potential postponement of the fall season. 
In a letter to Cuomo sent on Wednesday, Aug. 26, the organization urged Cuomo to reconsider allowing fall sports while acknowledging that “the closing of schools due to the pandemic has led to missed academic and social opportunities for all students.” …
