An actors/writers group is looking for talent from throughout the Hudson Valley.
The group says it's "Seeking playwrights who like to work with actors, and actors looking to work with new playwrights, to workshop new plays from writers from the Hudson Valley community. People who are motivated to be with a group of artists to share, grow and build."

Actress Emma Roberts is accused of mistreating a transgender co-star on the set of her hit show, “American Horror Story.”
During an Instagram Live session on Tuesday, Sept.19, actress Angelica Ross, who is a transgender woman, accused Roberts of making transphobic comments in 2018, during filming of the show’s ninth season, “1984.”
According to Ross, Roberts jokingly told another actor, John Carroll Lynch, that Ross was “being mean” to her, to which Lynch replied, “Okay ladies, that’s enough, let’s get back to work.”

A missing Hudson Valley man hiking the Appalachian Trail died after being caught in the current of a brook in Vermont, according to authorities.
Dutchess County resident Robert Kerker, age 67, of Rhinebeck, who had been missing since Sunday, July 9, was located about 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 28, by search crews along the Stony Brook in Stockbridge, Vermont, about 1.5 miles downstream from where the trail crossed the brook.

Man Found Guilty Of Killing Girlfriend By Running Her Over With Van In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley has been found guilty of intentionally running over his girlfriend with his van and then dragging the victim inside her apartment to die.
William Dicke, age 42, of Rhinebeck, was found guilty on Friday, Jan. 13 of manslaughter and second-degree murder for the murder of Danielle DiStefano, said Dutchess County Assistant District Attorney Kristine Whelan.
DiStefano was killed on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, around 12:30 p.m., on Mill Road in the town of Rhinebeck, according to state police at the time of the crime.

One hospital in the Hudson Valley is at the top of its class for keeping patients safe, according to a new report.
Westchester County's White Plains Hospital, located at 41 East Post Rd, has been assigned an "A" grade for patient safety in a new Fall 2022 report by the Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog organization that advocates for safety in hospitals.

Suspect Nabbed After Police Sergeant Dragged During Traffic Stop In Hudson Valley
A New York State trooper was injured when he was dragged by a vehicle he had stopped for a traffic violation in the Hudson Valley.
Sergeant Gregory Lischak was injured in Dutchess County around 1:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16 during the stop on Route 9G in Rhinebeck.
A preliminary investigation determined the driver, Nicolas Antunano, age 23, of Poughkeepsie, was wanted on an outstanding warrant, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
While attempting to take Antunano into custody, Antunano abruptly drove away from the scene, dragging Lischak, he added.
