Putnam Sheriff Reports On Number Of Gun, Drug Arrests For November Hard work on behalf of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office the county has ended with fewer drugs and guns on the streets. According to Putnam  County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr., during the month of November, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit made a total of nine arrests. The arrests include:  Four arrests for possession of heroin.  Four arrests resulted in the seizure of 500 Xanax tablets and concentrated cannabis. Mahopac Man Driving With Suspended License Had Heroin, Sheriff Says A Mahopac man has been charged after police say he was found with heroin when driving with a suspended license. Members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU) say they observed a driver commit a series of traffic infractions in the Town of Carmel on Tuesday, July 16. After initiating a traffic stop, an investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Michael Scauzillo, 51, of Mahopac, was allegedly driving with a suspended New York State license.
