Firefighter Injured During Blaze At Croton Residence
A firefighter was injured during a blaze at a Northern Westchester home that began in the residence's garage. The incident began on Thursday, May 16 just after 6 p.m., when Croton-on-Hudson firefighters raced to a home on Memory Lane for a reported blaze. Person Lying On Tracks Rescued At Croton-Harmon Train Station
Rail traffic at a Northern Westchester train station was temporarily halted when an unconscious person was found lying on the tracks, fire officials said. The incident happened on Thursday, Feb. 15 around 2:45 p.m., when Croton-on-Hudson firefighters and police as well as MTA Police found an unconscious person on the tracks, the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department announced on Friday night, Feb. 16. Driver Hospitalized After Rollover Crash in Croton-On-Hudson
A rollover crash on a curvy Northern Westchester road sent one person to the hospital. The incident happened on Thursday, Aug. 24 around 3:30 p.m., when emergency crews responded to a rollover crash in Croton-on-Hudson on Mount Airy Road. According to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department, arriving first responders found that the driver had been able to get out of the flipped car on his own. Car Flips Over On Taconic State Parkway In Millwood, Driver Hospitalized
One person was taken to a hospital after their vehicle flipped over on the Taconic State Parkway in Northern Westchester. The crash happened on Friday, March 3 just after noon when a car flipped over on the Taconic State Parkway southbound in Millwood just past the Exit 8 ramp, according to the Millwood Fire Department. The occupant of the vehicle was able to free themselves from the wreckage and was evaluated by personnel from Ossining EMS and the Millwood Fire Department. The driver was then taken to Westchester Medical Center to be treated for their injuries.

Man Killed After Stolen-Vehicle Chase Ends In Crash In Northern Westchester, Police Say
A 38-year-old man allegedly driving a stolen motorcycle was killed following a chase that ended in a two-vehicle crash in Northern Westchester. The chase ended around 4:15 p.m., Sunday, April 3, after New York State Police attempted to make a traffic stop of a stolen 2019 Kawasaki motorcycle at the Annsville Circle in the town of Cortlandt, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Three Teens Hospitalized After Car Overturns In Northern Westchester Crash
Three teenagers were hospitalized after the car they were in was hit by another vehicle in Northern Westchester. The crash occurred around 7 p.m. Friday between Short Hill Road and Croton Avenue in Cortlandt. The three were extricated and transported to Westchester Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department, Croton EMS, Ossining EMS and the Cortlandt Regional Paramedic all responded.

Man Clinging To Branch After Trying To Save Dog Rescued From Croton River
A simple walk with his dog turned into a nightmare for a man who ended up clinging to a tree branch to keep from drowning in the rushing water of the Croton River. The man became stranded while chasing his dog who ran into the water in the Croton Gorge Park section of the river around 7 p.m. Wednesday, said the Croton Fire Department on Facebook.
