The seven-day average COVID-19 infection rate in the Hudson Valley rose over the weekend, though the region reported less than 750 new cases and just five deaths in the past 24 hours, according to the latest data released by the state. A total of 654 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the Hudson Valley out of thousands of tests administered in the area on Sunday, March 7.
