Sponsored by Sen. Terrence Murphy's Office, this year's event will begin on Front Street in front of the Pennysaver building at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 22. The runner's route includes: Front Street to Underhill Avenue, turn left to westbound Underhill Avenue. Underhill Avenue to Route 118, turning left to southbound Route 118. These 10 Roads Will Be Closed During Yorktown Grange Fair, Tractor Parade There will be several road closures over the weekend as the Yorktown Grange Fair hosts its annual Tractor Parade. The Yorktown Police Department issued an alert advising motorists that at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, the parade will kick off at the Yorktown Fire Department fairgrounds on Veterans Road, continuing through Commerce Street to Hanover Street, before concluding at the Grande Fair grounds on Moseman Avenue. During the parade, 10 roadways will be closed beginning at 11:30 a.m. until the conclusion of the parade, approximately an hour later. The roads closed include: Veterans R…
