Longtime Ossining Resident, Former Schools Superintendent Dies At 67 Longtime Northern Westchester resident Paul Fried, who served as superintendent of two Westchester school districts and assistant superintendent at another, has died at age 67. Fried came to White Plains on July 1, 2015 from Montville Township, N.J., where he had been superintendent for five years. Fried went on medical leave a year after arriving in White Plains before resigning from his position later in 2016.
