Man Intentionally Strikes Victim With Vehicle In Hudson Valley, Police Say A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after allegedly intentionally hitting another man with a vehicle during an argument. The incident took place in Ulster County around 2 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 26 in the parking lot of America’s Best Value Inn on State Route 9W in the town of Lloyd, according to New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel.  When state police arrived on the scene they found the victim, identified as Alan S. Tarrytown Man Charged With DWI In State Police Stop New York State Police troopers were busy over the weekend, busting 31 motorists in the area for alleged impaired driving. Motorists arrested and charged between Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22 include: Orange County On Friday, April 19, State Police troopers in Roscoe arrested Benjamin Newbury, 23 of East Windsor, NJ, for DWI. He was traveling on 17B in Thompson when he was observed to make an illegal U-turn before entering a sobriety checkpoint. Man Charged With Vehicular Homicide, DWI, Reckless Driving For July 1 Hudson Valley Crash A 29-year-old man who was driving drunk and recklessly has been charged in connection with a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred a month ago in the area, state police said. Ryan B. Williams of Poughkeepsie was arrested as a result of an investigation into the crash on July 1 on Route 299 in the town of Lloyd in Ulster County. Williams is facing felony charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, second-degree manslaughter, first-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
