A sheriff's office in the Hudson Valley is mourning the loss of a retired sergeant and Army veteran who always followed his passions while also making time to serve his community. Putnam County resident Doug MacCrae of Brewster died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 17 at the age of 67, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Friday, April 19. A months-long operation into a local narcotics trafficking organization in Northern Fairfield County resulted in four arrests and the seizure of large amounts of drugs and cash, police said. Warning Issued After Fox Attacks Family, Dog In Northern Westchester
A fox in Northern Westchester bit an area resident and a dog last week, according to officials. Lewisboro Town Supervisor Peter Parsons issued an alert cautioning that on Wednesday, March 31, a fox on the loose bit a person and dog in the Waccabuc area. Store Employee Charged With Selling Tobacco To Minor In Northern Westchester
An employee at a store in Northern Westchester was caught selling tobacco to a minor during an enforcement detail, police said. YiJian Liu, 45, of Brooklyn at The Smoke Shop, located at 742 Bedford Road in Bedford Hills was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child, a Class B misdemeanor on Wednesday, June 19 at approximately 2:20 p.m., said Bedford Police Department Lt.
