Birth Certificate, Passports, Social Security Cards Stolen In Westchester Car Break-In
A suspect is at large in Westchester after breaking into a car and making off with a laptop, social security cards, a birth certificate, and other items, police said.
Members of the Scarsdale Police Department responded to a Foxhall Road residence early on Monday, Nov. 1, where there was a report of a larceny from a vehicle.
According to police, investigators spoke with a homeowner, who said that overnight, her unlocked car had been rummaged through in her driveway and several items had been taken between 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31 and 7 a.m. on Monday.

21-Year-Old Accused Of Stealing Checks From Mailboxes, Vehicles In Northern Westchester
A 21-year-old has been accused of stealing checks from mailboxes and unattended vehicles in the area.
On Friday, Sept. 16, New York State Police, in conjunction with the United States Postal Inspection Service, arrested Robert Curry Jr., age 21, of Peekskill, after an investigation into larcenies in Northern Westchester County and western Putnam County.
Police said the stolen checks were fraudulently deposited.
Curry has been charged with:
Two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a Class D felony,

Northern Westchester Woman Busted Stealing $800K From Employer, Police Say
Police in Fairfield County have charged a Northern Westchester woman for allegedly stealing more than $800,000 from her employer while working as a bookkeeper.
Darlene Moonan, age 64, of Bedford was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 12, for an incident that took place in January in Greenwich, authorities said.
Moonan allegedly embezzled $892,557 from her former employers, who are Greenwich residents, during the course of several years, said Greenwich Police Capt. Mark E. Zuccerella.
Moonan, who turned herself in to police, was charged with larceny and identity theft.

Westchester Man Charged For Stealing Used Cooking Oil Arrested Again In Fairfield County
A 26-year-old Westchester man who was arrested last year for stealing used cooking oil from an area business has been arrested again for using a fake name at the time he was apprehended in Fairfield County.
Jonathan Garces, age 26, of Yonkers, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 22, on a warrant by Westport Police following an investigation into the first incident, said Lieutenant David Wolf.
According to Wolf, on Wednesday, May 6, around 5:18 a.m., Westport Police Officers responded to 50 Church Lane on a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Duo, Including Westchester Man, Stole High-End Handbags In Fairfield County, Police Say
Police arrested two men in connection with the theft of more than $20,000 in high-end handbags from a Fairfield County merchant.
Members of the Greenwich Police Organized Retail Criminal Activity Unit chased three suspects on foot down Greenwich Avenue on Wednesday, Jan. 27, after they were observed steeling high-value handbags from a local merchant, said Lt. John Slusarz.
Two of the suspects were apprehended after a brief foot pursuit and struggle. The third suspect got away with over $20,000 of merchandise, Slusarz said.
