New Middle School Principal Selected By Croton-Harmon Board Of Education Michael F. Plotkin has been named the new principal at Croton-Harmon’s Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School, effective July 1.  Plotkin, who has served as PVC’s assistant principal for the last decade, will replace Dr. Barbara Ulm, who announced her retirement last fall. “The Board of Education is pleased to select Mr. Plotkin as PVC’s new principal, and we look forward to bringing his many ideas and plans to fruition as he builds on the sturdy framework that Dr. Ulm so carefully constructed during her years as principal,” said Iris Bugliosi, Board of Education President.  Superintendent of …

New Croton-Harmon School District Superintendent Named New Croton-Harmon School District Superintendent Named
New Croton-Harmon School District Superintendent Named Deborah O’Connell has been hired as the new Superintendent of Schools in Croton-Harmon effective July 1, the Croton-Harmon Board of Education announced this week. Dr. O’Connell has served as the District’s Assistant Superintendent since 2011, responsible for K-12 curriculum, instruction, assessment and data initiatives, professional development, teacher observations, and contract negotiations. She has also worked on the District’s Strategic Coherence Plan, and serves as chair of the Culture of Respect Task Force. She will replace Dr. Edward R.
