Police Search For I-84 Hit-Run Driver Connecticut State police are asking the public for help locating the driver of a light-colored SUV involved in a hit-and-run crash on I-84 in Fairfield County.  The incident took place around 1:40 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 30, near Exit 5 in Danbury when the SUV merged into the right lane and hit the front driver’s side of a 2010 Honda Civic, state police said. The crash caused the Honda to swerve right and strike a metal beam guide rail before veering left and colliding into a center median concrete barrier, state police said. Seven Westchester County Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops New York State Police troopers busted nearly two dozen local motorists who were allegedly driving while impaired in the area over the past week. The local residents charged were: Dutchess County On Friday, Jan. 11, State Police troopers from Rhinebeck arrested Gerard V. Ollis, 43, of Poughkeepsie, for DWAI Drugs. He was traveling on Route 9 in Rhinebeck, when he was struck a mailbox and then left the scene.
