PA Beats Out NY For Italian Pasta Maker's First U.S. Facility In $12.5M Investment
An Italian company has chosen Pennsylvania as its first North American location to make its fettuccine, rigatoni, and other popular types of pasta. Il Pastaio will open a production facility in the Allenwood section of Gregg Township in Union County, Gov. Josh Shapiro announced at a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, Jan. 23. Cucumbers, Eggs Recalled Due To Risk Of Salmonella Contamination
Cucumbers distributed throughout the US and Canada and organic eggs sold in 25 Costco stores in several states have been recalled due to the risk of Salmonella contamination. Cucumber recall SunFed Produce, LLC (SunFed) is recalling all sizes of whole fresh American cucumbers packaged in bulk cardboard containers labeled with the “SunFed” label or in a generic white box or black plastic crate with a sticker that provides the implicated grower’s name “Agrotato, S.A. de C.V." Listeria Found In Food Product Sold In New York
Mushrooms sold in Massachusetts and New York have been linked to a listeria outbreak that has been plaguing parts of the nation. Testing conducted by disease investigators at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) has led to the expansion of a national recall of Enoki mushrooms after two packages investigators purchased tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.
