Passenger Rescued From Crashed Vehicle On Busy Parkway In Northern Westchester
A person was hospitalized after being rescued from a crashed car on a busy parkway in Northern Westchester. The incident happened on Saturday, June 22 around 12:15 a.m., when a car crashed on the northbound Saw Mill River Parkway just north of Exit 25, according to the Hawthorne Fire Department. Arriving fire crews found that one person was still trapped in the car, which had crashed off the roadway. Firefighters then used hurst tools to extricate the passenger. After the rescue, the passenger was taken to a nearby hospital. The cause of the crash was not released.

A firefighter and teacher from Northern Westchester who served his department for more than 50 years has died. Somers resident Fred Whipple, who served the Somers Volunteer Fire Department for 58 years, died on Sunday, March 19, the department announced. Vehicle Blaze Leaves Car Seared On Busy Northern Westchester Road
Firefighters were called to put out a raging vehicle fire on a main road in Northern Westchester. The fire happened on Sunday, Jan. 29 around 1:50 p.m., when firefighters in Yorktown responded to the intersection of Crompond Road (Route 202) and the Taconic State Parkway northbound exit ramp to put out the blaze. Three-Alarm Fire Breaks Out At Multi-Family Sleepy Hollow Home
More than two dozen residents were displaced in Westchester after a fast-moving three-alarm fire tore through a multi-family home, authorities announced.
