I’ve lived in Europe, I studied in New York, been to a lot of places. The Shakespeare Theatre is still my favorite place on the planet.” Kachmar did not know it then, but those bike rides, and accompanying her mother to her work as a set designer at the Polka Dot Playhouse, paved her path to wor…

Early-Blooming Native Trees, Shrubs Help Bees Across Fairfield County FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- There may still be a bit of snow on the ground, but spring is here and soon, a number of our native bee species will be active. As you look at your post-winter landscape, you may wonder where those early bees will find the forage that they need to survive.
