Briarcliff Baseball Scores Late to Topple Ossining

OSSINING, N.Y. – Ossining High School’s baseball team gave up six runs to Briarcliff in the final three innings of Monday’s game in a 7-4 loss.

Briarcliff scored twice in the fifth inning, three times in the sixth inning and once in the seventh. Ossining tried to rally with two runs in the bottom of the sixth but fell short.

Briarcliff’s Paul Henshaw threw a complete game for the Bears. He also went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Rashawn Armstrong did all he could for the Pride, as he gave up three earned runs in five innings. He, too, went 2-for-3 at the plate, but it was not enough.

The Bears also defeated the Pride, 10-5, April 4.
