BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Briarcliff High School senior Robert Karp and junior Karthik Rao continue to receive accolades for their science research project, “A Network Flow-Based Approach for Post-Merger Airline Hub Consolidation” – this time, at the international level.
The duo, who presented their project at the regional finals of the Siemens Competition in Math, Science and Technology earlier in the school year, went on to compete at the International Sustainable World Energy, Engineering and Environment Project Olympiad this month. They competed against 427 other projects and 658 competitors from 71 nations.
“They earned bronze in the engineering category,” said science research teacher Melissa Carnahan. “We could not be more proud of them. I congratulate them on this extraordinary achievement for themselves, the science research program and Briarcliff High School."
