Briarcliff Schools' Water Added To List Of Possible Lead Contamination

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Todd Elementary School and Briarcliff High School have shut off water due to lead concerns, according to News 12 Westchester.

The Briarcliff Manor Union Free School District posted a details of the tests and results on its website and while the water quality is acceptable some tests at those schools exceeded the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency action level. Further investigation is recommended to determine the potential source of lead in the water, according to News 12 Westchester.

Prior to these latest findings, schools in Yonkers and New Rochelle shut off drinking fountains and water faucets earlier in May with similar concerns, according to News 12 Westchester.
