The improvements, totaling $10.25 million, included renovations to 11 classrooms at Todd Elementary School, science and chemistry lab renovations at Briarcliff Middle/High School and renovations to the game day field as part of the voter-approved capital improvement project, according to the district report on Patch.
"In a committed effort to improve facilities for the coming school year and preserve the community’s schools for the long term, a number of renovation projects were completed this summer at all three schools in Briarcliff Manor," representatives with the district said on Patch.
The band room and physics lab were also "upgraded" at the middle/high school along with an expansion to the dance studio set to be complete next month, according to the Patch report.
The renovations of the Game Day field include the installation of a synthetic turf field and track that began in July and is set to continue into November, according to the Patch report.
The district noted that the remediation of the softball field, which is unrelated to the capital improvement project, was completed over the summer and the softball field should be available for use in the spring, according to the Patch report.
