Student volunteers prepped chocolate truffle batter ahead of class in preparation for the fun, hands-on activity.

“It’s cultural, yet a fun way to spend the day before vacation,” said French teacher Nancy Kress. “We spent the class time scooping, rolling and dipping the chocolate balls to create chocolate truffles.”

Each student labeled a Ziploc bag to carry the truffles home to his or her family in time for Valentine’s Day.

“They are fun, yummy and kid-friendly,” said Kress of the treats.
