Yonkers resident Rhony Sanchez, 35, who served as a swimming instructor for more than a decade, was arrested in Scarsdale and charged with felony counts of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child for charges dating back to last summer when he allegedly had child pornography in his home.
According to reports, an investigative team from the Westchester County District Attorney’s office discovered that Sanchez was purchasing and sharing child pornography on the Internet before arresting him on Sunday.
Upon learning of his arrest, the JCC suspended Sanchez from his job, barred him from the premises and sent an email to parents alerting them of the situation. Sanchez was released $25,000 bail and is due back in court in White Plains on Friday.
