In May 2015, Evita Hinds engaged in sexual intercourse with an inmate while inside the officer’s station inside the housing block, according to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.
The incident occurred at a time when the man was incapable of consent by virtue of his being an inmate committed to the care and custody of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, according to the District Attorney's Office.
Hinds pled guilty to one count of Rape in the Third Degree, a Class E Felony and faces between 1.3 and 4 years in state prison. She is due to be sentenced on Oct. 11.
