Westchester and Putnam residents facing charges are:
- Catherine A. Orza, 24, of Briarcliff Manor for Aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. Subsequent to a traffic stop conducted by state police from Somers on Route 35, Orza provided a breath sample that revealed a BAC of .20 percent, more than two times the legal limit of intoxication. She was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Somers Court on Dec. 19.
- Denise M. McLaughlin, 29, of Mohegan Lake, for DWI, a misdemeanor. Troopers from the Stormville barracks stopped McLaughlin for speeding on the Taconic State Parkway and an investigation revealed that she was intoxicated, police said. McLaughlin provided a breath sample that yielded a BAC of .10 percent and was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Yorktown Court on Dec. 22.
- Matthew Cann, 34, of Patterson for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, a felony. Subsequent to a traffic stop conducted on Interstate 84 for speeding, Cann was found with his 8-year-old daughter in the vehicle at the time of the stop, state police from Stormville said. Cann provided a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of .12 percent and was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear in the Town of Kent Court on Dec. 21.
- William C. McGowan, 46, of Putnam Valley, for DWI after a traffic stop on Westbrook Drive by troopers from the Cortlandt barracks. McGowan provided a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .12 percent, police said, and was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Cortlandt Court on December 19, 2016.
- Samantha Gunn, 25, of Garrison for DWI, a misdemeanor. Following a speeding stop conducted by state troopers from the Brewster barracks on Interstate 84 for speeding, Gunn provided a breath sample that revealed a BAC of .11 percent, police said. She was issued traffic tickets to return to the Town of Southeast Court on Jan. 26.
- Andrew M. Lopez, 31, of Carmel for DWI, a felony. Troopers from the Brewster barracks stopped the vehicle Lopez was operating on Interstate 84 for speeding. He was charged with felony DWI when a criminal history revealed a previous DWI related conviction from 2011. Lopez provided a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .16 percent, police said, and was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear in the Town of Southeast Court on Jan. 10.
