Christopher Murray, 51, Formerly Of Briarcliff

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. – Christopher Paul Murray, a longtime Briarcliff Manor resident, died suddenly Aug. 12 at his home in Atlanta. He was 51. 

Murray was born in the Bronx to Dr. Robert and Virginia Murray. He graduated from Briarcliff High School in 1978, where he was elected student council president. After attending the University of Rochester, Murray moved to Atlanta, where he was a successful oil and gas investor and entrepreneur. 

He is survived by his mother, Virginia, of Scarborough Manor, N.Y.; two brothers, Robert Murray, of Coral Gables, Fla., and Keith Murray, of Summit, N.J.; two daughters, Ann Buscaglia, of Croton-on-Hudson, and Diane Penner, of Hastings-on-Hudson. Murray was predeceased by his father, Robert, in 1997; and a brother, Matthew, in 1989. 

A memorial service will be held privately.
