OSSINING, N.Y. A ventriloquist/magician is scheduled to perform at Brookside School on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in a program called "Reading Is Fun!"
Magician and ventriloquist Steve Charney will be joking around with his puppet Harry who "doesn't like being called a dummy, but rather a Wooden American," according to Charney's website.
Aside from being a ventriloquist, Charney has also written dozens of songs for a TV show called "Bear in the Big Blue House," and he is the author of a number of books, including a series of four magic books published by Capstone Press.
