- The percentage of Briarcliff Manor students considered proficient in math and English language arts for grades three to eight was significantly higher than the average results from throughout New York state, which were significantly lower than last year's testing scores.
- It's almost time for the Second Annual Friends of the Briarcliff Manor Public Library Book Sale and the library is asking for help. The library needs donations of new and gently used books published in the last 10 years. If you have some, please drop them off at the Briarcliff Manor Public Library, 1 Library Road, during library hours.
- The Briarcliff-based Westchester SPCA will have a top hat and cocktails gala at the Ritz-Carlton in White Plains to celebrate and raise money for the animals at the SPCA of Westchester from 7-9:30 p.m. Oct. 18.
