OSSINING, N.Y. The Ossining Recreation and Parks Department has planned a Fall Family Fun Day with hay rides, Irish folk music and more.
The event was originally scheduled for Oct. 1, but, due to rain forecasts, it has been postponed until Oct. 15. The event will take place in Market Square at the corner of Main and Spring streets from 10 a.m. until about 1 p.m.
"It's a full day of fall fun," recreation officials said in an event listing.
In addition to hay rides and music, there will be the regular Saturday farmers market, a pie-eating contest, make your own scarecrow, pumpkin painting and face painting. Bring your own old clothes for scarecrow making and hay will be supplied for stuffing.
The Ossining farmer's market is co-sponsoring the event.
