Week one of summer camp ended on July 10. With summer camp in full swing, pool hours adjust to 12:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on weekdays through Aug. 9. Weekend hours remain from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The pool schedule also has some adjusts for the swim/diving team home events:
- Thursday, July 16: Pool closes at 4:30 p.m. instead of 7:30 p.m. (home meet vs. Willowbrook);
- Thursday, July 23: Pool closes at 4:30 p.m. instead of 7:30 p.m. (home meet vs. Birchwood);
- and Sunday, Aug. 2: Pool opens at 12 noon and closes at 4:30 p.m.; (NWSC All-Star meet & Swim Team Picnic).
A new basketball hoop has now been installed on Law Park Tennis Court No. 4 for use by pool patrons when the court is opened on weekend afternoons only from the newly installed gate to the pool area. Village residents will also be able to use the hoop for shooting around and half court play during other times that the court is open and when not being used by permit holding tennis players.
An art show featuring art quilts inspired by a microscopic image will be on display on the 2nd floor of the library through Monday, Aug. 31.

Children ages 3 and up can win prizes for reading through Aug. 14. Sign up for the reading program and then check in with the library staff about what you read to receive prizes. The library also has weekly crafts, weekly storytimes, special events and movie nights. The Briarcliff Manor Pine Forest & Welands Reclamation Project, a community effort to take back Pine Forest and wetland area from various invasive plant species located between the Youth Center and Law Park Field, will be every Saturday at the Briarcliff Youth Center at 1:30 p.m.
