BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- The following is the Village Manager’s Report from Philip E. Zegarelli:
The Memorial Day 5K Run/Walk is Monday at 8:30 a.m. at Briarcliff Manor Library with registration ($30) online at https://www.zippyreg.com/online_reg/registration.php?eventID=740
The following roads will be closed: Ash, Oak, Zuydhoek, Maple, Jackson, Simpson, Larch, Pleasantville, Van Lu Van Roads and Delton Lane.
The American Legion Memorial Day parade steps off at noon. Participants should assemble along Pleasantville and Poplar Roads at 11:30 a.m.
Afterwards, at around 1:30 p.m., there will be a formal dedication and open house of the community center at the library/community center complex.
The center will be named after former Mayor, William J. Vescio. All are invited.
The pool season will open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday. Entry is free to Village residents this weekend.
Pool and tennis permit information is available at www.briarcliffmanor.org. Permits may be purchased at the Recreation office weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The Recreation office will also stay open to 6 p.m. Mondays, June 6, 13 and 20.
Tennis players are reminded that permits are required for play on all Village courts.

Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body: Tips from the Latest Research: is set for Thursday, May 26 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Specialty camp programs.
The Recreation department offers the following one-week summer camps:
“PlayWell Teknologies” LEGO Camps, “Engineering for Kids” Camps, and “IncrediFlix” Movie Making Camps, as well as sport specific camps & clinics in soccer and lacrosse are offered.

Swimming/diving programs:
The 2016 Briarcliff Swimming & Diving Team program starts Tuesday, 7 June, with practices in the evening beginning at 5:30 pm.
If you are interested in joining the team, come to the Swim Team Parents Meeting scheduled for Tuesday evening, May 31, 7:30 p.m., community center at the library.
The program is for children 6 to 18 who know how to swim and want to get involved in competitive swimming & diving.
