Mailbox Destruction Spree Continues in Briarcliff

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. – Dozens of Briarcliff Manor residents continue to report destroyed mailboxes, but police say there are still no suspects and no arrests have been made.

More mailboxes were destroyed May 1 on Locust Road and Saturday on Law Road, Village of Briarcliff Manor Police reported Tuesday. Police say dozens of mailboxes have been destroyed and they suspect teenagers are involved, but no one has been charged in any of the incidents. 

Residents reported mailboxes destroyed in March on Sleepy Hollow Drive and on Feb. 11 and 12 along Whitson Road and Alder Drive. More than a dozen Briarcliff Manor residents also reported their mailboxes were damaged or destroyed Feb. 5

Police are continuing to ask the public for assistance with information on the mailboxes.  

“There were no witnesses in any of the incidents,” Briarcliff Manor Officer Michael Zazzini has said. “If anyone has any information on it, please call us.”
