CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- A last minute vendor has appeared at the Croton Farmers Market selling soaps, oils, candles and lip balms. Based in Manhattan, and frequenting the farmers market circuit through Manhattan and Brooklyn, Love Nature NYC owner Jared Gettinger will be at the Croton farmers market next week, and every other week after that.
Gettinger, who is originally from an industrial detergent manufacturing background, says he started the business because he had an obligation to the environment, and wanted to transition to healthier alternatives. The artisan made soaps that are wrapped in natural cotton with cards printed on recycled paper, even the ink is soy.
Also, Gettinger added about Westchester, I love coming up here in the summer. The Croton farmers market opens at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, and closes at 6:30 p.m. The farmers market is located on Municipal Place, just before the on-ramp to Route 9 Northbound.
