CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. A John Doe found at the Croton-Harmon Train Station was reunited with his family less than 24 hours after being transported to the hospital.
The man boarded a Metro-North train at the Marble Hill Station Wednesday and when the conductor asked for his ticket, he was incoherent, according to officials. The conductor then called the police, who met the man at Croton-Harmon Station.
The man was not carrying a wallet or identification and, although he did speak Spanish, he gave authorities two names. Officials said he was otherwise incoherent. EMS was then notified and the man was taken to Phelps Memorial Hospital in Tarrytown.
Phelps officials said the man was in good health and didnt appear to be injured, but was nonverbal. The hospital is not releasing the mans name or address because of patient confidentiality. Officials did say the man is a Bronx resident and his family came to pick him up from the hospital on Thursday morning.
