HARRISON, N.Y. -- John DeFonce, a former football player at Harrison High School, has died, according to a report by lohud.com.
DeFonce, who had been addicted to heroin as a result of taking prescription painkillers, was found dead Sunday at his parents' home, lohud reported.
The 20-year-old DeFonco had recently finished a program at St. Christopher's Inn in Garrison and was living in a White Plains halfway house, according to lohud.
