Briarcliff Recreation Department Has New Home

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. – One week after their move from 48 Macy Road to the basement of the Briarcliff Manor Public Library, Briarcliff Recreation Department workers were enjoying their new space on Tuesday.

"Most people have had a positive to response to our new office. I think the space looks good and it's more convenient for them," said Chris Soi, a recreation supervisor as he stood in his cool, new, white-walled office.

Soi said village officials decided to move the recreation office in order to bring it to a more centralized location closer to the village's main recreation park, Law Memorial Park.

It has not been decided yet what the old recreation building at 48 Macy Road will be used for, Soi said. It is also undetermined where Briarcliff Recreation pre-school, adult and senior fall programs will be held.

The Recreation Department's hours remain the same: Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
