Briarcliff Manor's John Cunningham Dies at 72

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- John B. Cunningham, of Briarcliff Manor, died unexpectedly on March 24. He was 72.

Cunningham was born on June 21, 1939 in Brooklyn, N.Y., raised in Garden City, N.Y. and was a resident of Briarcliff Manor for the past 43 years. He was a graduate of Lafayette College and worked at CIBA in Ardsley for more than 30 years. 

A devoted friend to many, Cunningham kept in contact with friends from high school, college, his hometown and work. He enjoyed skiing, playing golf and paddle tennis. His favorite time was spent with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, his sister Jill (Tod) Wagner, his children John (Adriene), Cathy (Matt) and Jeffrey (Ann) and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Pleasantville.
