During the three-hour workshop, yogini Sarah Bell will explain and address habits that may be obstacles in everyday communication. The workshop will include asana practice, reading aloud, speaking to the whole room while filling the space with a relaxed and resonant voice and learning tools to keep the voice as healthy as the rest of the body.

"If you use your voice professionally (yoga teachers, fitness trainers, singers, speakers, educators, business people), you will find that an awareness in the way you feel your voice will bring you greater control and freedom in the way you communicate," said Bell.

Trained at YogaWorks in Santa Monica, Calif., in 1994, Bell has been teaching yoga to all levels of students for more than 20 years. She has been a part of the teacher training faculty at YogaWorks for 10 years, in both Los Angeles and New York. She recently completed the teacher training at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in New York City.

The cost is $35 for Yoga Teachers Association members and $45 for nonmembers who register in advance; $45 and $55 at the door. Pre-registration is requested. Register here. Bring a yoga mat and arrive early to check in and set up.

The Fall 2015 workshop season also includes Deborah Wolk presenting "Yoga and Scoliosis" Nov. 14 and "The Principles of Backbending," led by Freddie Wyndham and Darcy Bowman Dec. 12.
