Harper Is SPCA Pet Of The Week

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- The SPCA of Westchester would like to introduce Harper, a 1-year-old female pit bull who is eligible for foster-to-adopt.

"This one year old pitbull gal is absolutely stunning with her one blue eye, one brown eye, floppy ears and constant smile," the shelter notes. "She's a petite girl at just around 40 pounds, but she packs a lot of personality in that little body."

The shelter notes that she gets along with other dogs, and that she'd be a good fit for kids approximately 12 and up. Harper has tested positive for heartworms and she'll be treated at the shelter soon. While on those meds, she'll be limited to calm activities like leashed walks for a few months -- but after that, she'll be good to go.
