Dinner is served at noon on Christmas Day at the First Presbyterian Church at 34 South Highland Avenue, Ossining. People from the synagogue cook parts of the meal at home (turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes) and bring them to the Church in Ossining.
Some people shop for other parts of the dinner and supplies that are needed. Families come on Christmas Day to greet guests, serve dinner and keep them company.
It is wonderful to see children involved in this special event. They make Christmas cards and spend time talking to guests. The event has have music as well.
The congregation send guests home with an extra meal and also deliver meals to people who are not able to get to the Church. It is a joyous day for everyone who is involved.
