Westchester-based Fujifilm was forced to recall hundreds of thousands of products after customers got a little bit of shock value with their packages.

Fujifilm, which has a headquarters in Valhalla, recalled more than 270,000 power adapter wall plugs that were packaged with several of the company’s point-and-shoot camera models due to the risk of electrical shock, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

According to Yonkers-based Consumer Reports, Fujifilm’s AC-5VF plugs have been found to crack, break or detach from the camera’s charger, creating the threat of an electric shock, though the organization noted that there have not been any reported injuries in the United States.

Since announcing the recall earlier this week, Fujifilm has begun recalling the wall charging units, replacing the flawed items with a corrected version, free of charge. Officials noted that the problem is only with the charger, the cameras are still safe to use.

Wall plugs that were bundled with the following model cameras may be at risk:

  • XP90,
  • XP95,
  • XP120,
  • XP125,
  • X-A3,
  • X-A10.

Consumers who purchased those products have been advised to stop using hte recalled power adapter wall plugs and to contact Fujifilm by emailing or calling 833-613-1200.
