The closure, in Bedford, was the result of a downed tree and wires in between Matthews Mill Road and Bedford Center Road and is expected to last several hours.
The roadway reopened late in the morning.
Route 121 reopened at around 9 a.m. after it was closed in Cross River between Route 35 and Route 138.
There were residual delays on I-684 in both directions after a crash involving an overturned vehicle initially blocked two lanes at Exit 6 (Route 35). The crash occurred on the northbound side but led to rubbernecking delays southbound.
