Part Of Busy Main Road To Close For More Than Month In Northern Westchester
Commuters in Northern Westchester are being warned to take detours to avoid an upcoming road closure that will affect a busy state route for more than a month. Beginning on Wednesday, July 5 at 10 a.m., State Route 120 (Quaker Road) will close in both directions between Kipp Street and Spring Lane in Chappaqua, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. The closure will last through Friday, Aug. 18, and will allow for a culvert replacement, officials said. Commuters in Northern Westchester are being warned of a scheduled lane closure that will soon impact both directions of a busy parkway for several months. The northbound Taconic State Parkway between the Bronx River Parkway (Kensico Dam) and Exit 4 (State Route 117), and the southbound lanes between Exit 6 (Pleasantville Road) and the Bronx River Parkway (Kensico Dam) in Mount Pleasant will be affected by the closures, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. Lane Closures: Busy Roadway In Northern Westchester To Be Affected For More Than Week
Commuters are being warned that a major state route in Northern Westchester will soon be affected by lane closures. Starting on Tuesday, Feb. 14, one lane of State Route 9A in both directions will close between State Route 117 in Mount Pleasant and US Route 9 in Ossining, the New York Department of Transportation announced. The closures will be in effect on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. until Wednesday, Feb. 22, weather permitting. The lane closures are being implemented to allow for roadway work.
