Spano Drops Out Of Senate Race
YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano will not be running for state senate. Spano, a Democrat, who announced his candidacy last month to represent the 37th district in the seat left vacant by George Latimer's ascension to Westchester County Executive, dropped out of the race Thursday. The Democrats will be announcing their nominee on Jan. 9 at the Westchester County Center, which caused Spano to withdraw.
