Goshen native Gerit Claire Hillegas died on Jan. 27. She was 24. Gerit of Maybrook was working as a certified nursing assistant for Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center before the birth of her son Ryker. She is survived by her son, Ryker Joseph Carney; father Robert L. Hillegas; mother Melissa E.
